Archaeology School Day

Discover archaeology at the Fort Laurens Museum. Throughout the day, learn the trade, tools, and discoveries of archaeologists. Hands-on activities will engage students in archaeological practices including a mock dig, flint knapping, atlatl throwing, cabin construction, lego stratigraphy, mosaic puzzles, and metal detecting. Students will also participate in recreating famous archaeological discoveries. This event is open to all public, private, and homeschool students. Cost for this event is $5 a student. One adult per group is free, each additional adult is $7, and all teachers are free. Reservations are required for the event and can be made by calling 330-874-3011 or 1-800-262-6195.
